Daniel's Top 10 Bboy Moments of 2009 [21 Dec 2009|07:29pm] giggs106 Happy Holidays. I have been "slacking," I suppose is the word, in writing the past few weeks. I have been busy juggling family, video editing of Outbreak, and 2010 plans for Strife.tv. I will also be heading off to New York City for New Year's Eve. Party! 2009 has definitely been a good year for all of us at Strife.tv, and me, too. In retrospec, so much has happened to me this past year: being a Bboyworld moderator (stellargiggs), living and dancing in Korea, and hanging out with my wonderful friends at Strife.tv. Anyways, here are my top 10 bboy moments of 2009, in no particular order. Daniel's Top 10 Bboy Moments of 2009 #10| Differ vs Blue - Monster Jam Monster Jam was a hugely succesful, yet "low key" event hosted by my friends at T.I.P. crew in Seoul. Think of it like a mini-BCOne, but with free T.I.P. sponsored bboy ice cream. Anyways, Differ vs Blue was a first round matchup. And the first 3 rounds were...to be blunt, holy shit balls!!! I couldn't stay still after seeing that. #9| K'naan ft. Chubb Rock - ABC's When this song premiered earlier this year, I listened to it for like 10 seconds, and then was out of my chair, toprocking in my room. And to have an old school legend in Chubb Rock provide the original sample, as well as be a guest on this song? Dope! K'naan is an MC from Somalia. #8| Gamblerz Jr's vs Gamblerz Sr's - CYON Bboy Champs Seoul Prelim Finals Cyon was the first battle I ever "worked" at, filming for Strife.tv. Not that this battle was better than any other better. But when Noodle hit the "Lollipop" song at the beginning made me realize how fun it was to attend my first ever big Korea event. #7| Korean Bboys vs Warheads Candy Random ass idea. Yet, it was so fun to do. I loved it when we got people like Physicx into the idea. He was like, "Gimme some of that, I wanna give it out to our Rivers guys!." We love Warheads candy here at Strife.tv. #6| Floor Gangz Worldwide - Official Interview Big shoutout to our extended family at Floor Gangz! Tinoroc, Blanka, Penny, Fhiz, Ducky, Born, Physicx, Nauty, Profo, and others! These guys are so fun to hang out with. The interview was really fun to do, because they were willing to answer any question thrown at them. #5| Virus - Bboy Cribs Honestly, who has this many clothes? You can get lost in his closet. "You want to know how to keep fresh? You gotta turn your entire living room into a closet," said Dyzee. I was filming this after drinking for the past 8 hours, haha. Soju wins! #4| Korean Bboys Goingn Crazy at a Pop Concert I love Kara. And Korean bboys love Kara, too. This was a fun time. What the camera did not capture was people like Physicx running after the girl group when they exited the stage. They all ran outside, trying to catch their bus. Hahahaha.... #3| Katsu's Stupid Face Tricks Please don't put this on youtube. Katsu is one multi-talented weird ass dude, haha. We were bored hours before the start of the Chuncheon event. #2| R16 Korea Sparkling MisLee and I got to go to R16, go backstage, film around, and stay in a fancy 4 Star hotel.
